Pierre NoccaWith his fisherman’s cap on, his welding goggles pushed up onto his forehead and his leather apron speckled with plaster and paint, Pierre Nocca stands in his studio at the age of 96. The same inner passion that led him to so much early acclaim as a 19-year-old student at the Parisian Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts has carried with him through all of these years. He heats, bends, welds, hammers, planes, hones and chisels just like he has every other day.
